I've always had a knack for snapping a good picture.
In the fall of 2021, I entered a few cell phone pictures into the Static Open Entry Photography contest at the South Dakota State Fair. To my surprise, 7 out of 8 won ribbons and one of them won Best in Show for the Black and White category! With that, my little cellphone pictures sparked a real passion for capturing everything around us. Which brings me (and you) here today!
My husband and I live in St. Lawrence, South Dakota with our son, Leo. He (both Leo and my husband) keeps me on my toes! So far, they don't mind that I keep the camera rolling, even through the most boring parts of our day (those candid moments are my FAV!). Technically, I am a South Dakota transplant. I grew up all over the Midwest, and until well into my 20's, the longest I'd lived in any one place was 2.5 years. I love embracing change and rolling with whatever comes my way.
Adapting to new people and places and making what's presented to me into gorgeous, badass photo shoots is what I thrive on. There is nothing too "ugly" that we can't make beautiful. It's not just about creating art, but finding what's already there and showing that off.
